For nearly a century, the jagged shadows of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari have swept across screens and imaginations the world over. Now, this landmark of Expressionism comes to Sheffield’s most atmospheric old cinema…just in time for Halloween!
With a specially created, immersive live score by Jonny Best Piano (who scored the Abbeydale’s smash hit screenings of Nosferatu in 2015), with percussionist Trevor Bartlett and electronics and sound artist Sam Gillies.
The Cabinet of Dr Caligari (8pm) is double billing with Battleship Potemkin (6pm). A single film is £9, or for £15 you can see both.
