The Village Screen presents a very special Valentine’s Day screening of 90’s edgy and hilarious 10 Things I Hate About You.
I want you to want me, I need you to need me!
This film was everything in the 90’s – “you’re just too good to be true, I can’t take my eyes off of you” – and is an excellent modernisation of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew retold in an American high school setting, accompanied by a hip 90’s modern rock soundtrack.
Ahead of the screening, there will be live music in the car park by Sheffield’s Kiziah and the Kings plus local street food by Pinch N Pull, Get Wurst, Deckards and Madame Crepe. The Village Screen will be transforming the inside of the Abbeydale Picture House into a retro cinema with a pop-up bar – we’ve got you covered with themed cocktails, hot cider, hot chocolates, Prosecco and local beers – plus a DJ. Audience members will be seated on comfortable retro cinema seats to enjoy the film. Just don’t forget to dress up cosy and bring blankets as the Picture House can get chilly.

Doors open at 18:30, with the film screening at 20:30. There is a minimum age of 12 for this event. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets are priced at £15 for adults, £13 for concessions and £10 for children. Online booking fees apply.
