Hatch is back for another fundraiser at the amazing Abbeydale Picture House. Featuring a host of wild bands, films and DJs.
IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ TICKETING INFORMATION BEFORE YOU BUY
For (regrettably) the second year running, we are mega excited to announce a socially distanced fundraising event, this time at one of Sheffield’s most amazing spaces, The Abbeydale Picture House.
Split across Matinee and Evening performances, we’ve got bands, DJs and short films in a big screen, all from the comfort of cushioned cinema seats – plus a bar!
Hatch has not been eligible for most funding over the pandemic, so we are raising funds for running costs. Join us for a Covid-Secure day of audio-visual bewilderment – and bring your friends!
Full artist info below, but in a nutshell:
MATINEE 2-6pm
Basic Switches
R Loomes
Ravedadd
Mouthparts
EVENING 7-11pm
Nape Neck
Kar Pouzi
Loic J Tuckey
Lizard Quest
All alongside copious use of visuals on that massive screen, plus short films from VYMETHOXY REDSPIDERS and others, and DJs and a bar. Tickets are limited so don’t miss out.
TICKETS
Seating is theatre style and socially distanced. All tickets will be sold in advance and will go off sale on May 28th. We are running two performances –Matinee and Evening – each with different bands, films and DJs.
Like last year we are also selling tickets in tiers: Unwaged, Waged and ‘Exalted Patron’. There is no difference between what each tier gets you, aside from varying levels of inner contentment. Hatch has largely been ineligible for any funding over the pandemic, so we very much appreciate your support, whatever you can give.
Important – How to book tickets:
Attendees will be able to sit in groups of up to 6 (the rule of 6), but one person MUST book for the group you will be attending with as a single purchase. We will not be able to alter bookings after purchase, so please please decide who your REAL friends are and organise a group booking.
For both gigs, we will be doing 2 releases of tickets – this is so we can check the sizes of the group that have booked as we go, and to make sure that everyone can be seated safely and socially distanced from each other. Please don’t overbook group sizes either, as this will severely limit the total number of people who can attend.
When you arrive at the venue, you’ll be asked to queue outside and our friendly Hatch Steward Goblins will show your group to their seats. We’ll do this by the lead booker’s name.
From experience from putting on ‘The Only Gig That Happened In 2020’ last year, we expect both gigs will sell out, so we also please ask that you initially only book for one of the two gigs (Matinee or Evening). If there’s still space in the weeks running up, you are welcome to book for the other performance, but we’d rather people got an opportunity to see at least one.
THE VENUE
The Abbeydale Picture House is a COVID-secure venue. Masks will be required when not seated, and drinks will be served to seats via an in-browser ordering service (no need to download an app). The bar will be run by the same people who did Overspill, so anyone who went to that will know how good they are…
If you’ve not been before, it’s a large, airy space. We will send full details of the measures prior to the event – we expect that the UK will move to the next stage of lockdown easing on time, but should anything different happen and rules change in a way that makes this event impossible, refunds will be provided. We will be working with Abbeydale Picture House to make sure that this event is extremely safe, but please do email us at hatch.sheffield@gmail.com if you have any questions.
Abbeydale Picture House has an accessible toilet and entrances. Please contact us in advance if you need a wheelchair space so we can add it to the seating plan.
