Volunteering Opportunities

As a small charity we have a huge job ahead of us to get the Abbeydale Picture House working as a vibrant community venue.

In short, we need your help! There are a huge range of volunteering opportunities available, from painting to clearing out spaces, events and more. Even the smallest amount of your free time would be extremely valuable to us.

We’re also looking for specialist and technical volunteers who might be able to help us with some of the more difficult jobs – considering the size and complexity of the building, the list of renovations required is endless. In particular, we’re looking for volunteers with experience in heritage restoration and building work. Please check below for links to full details on these opportunities.

What we support and are hoping to achieve

As a charity, we look to utilise our spaces to fulfill both our core aims and our charitable objectives. The Abbeydale Picture House will become a key crux of these efforts. Alongside our creative events and hires to support the renovation project, we’ll be offering subsidised space for the local community, social enterprises, charities and early-career creatives to use.
